Built in 1876, Taychreggan was an intimate cottage till 1946 and quiet holds a lot of of its original has including excellent cornice business, oak panelling and chandeliers. Located in the conservation district of West Ferry lying quietly between Dundee, City of Discovery, and the bustling suburb of Broughty Ferry it features a prosperity of interest on its doorstep including a blue flag coast, palaces, some of the worlds ultimate courses in golf, a famous range of boutiques, quality eating places and conventional pubs. Our 10 suites, some of which have glorious views of the River Tay, propose outstanding comfort. All have either adjacent bath or shower, colour TV with freeview; giving a firstrate selection of both TV and radio channels, tea/coffee making service, straight dial phone and wire free i-access. In the warmer months our award winning park and sun verandah offer an haven of peace in which to enjoy al fresco dining or perhaps just unwind with a famous book or chat with our gardener who is constantly willing to provide independent horticultural advice. Our crew of chefs business hard each day to make both classic and current dishes using quality fresh make sourced from local suppliers. The wine catalogue features well-known diversity from both antique and current world and our new purchase of Le Verre de Vin wine preservation system allows us to sell twenty wines, including sparkling, by the clear. Alternatively loosen in our brasserie (The Gordon and Macphail Malt Whisky Bar of The Year 2005), enjoy some of our selection of over 350 single malt whiskies and perhaps even take part in an ad hoc tasting with one of our knowledgeable brasserie personnel.
