The Tyn-y-Groes serves firstrate food utilising Welsh products wherever possible and serving wonderful cask ales where everyone from locals to town folk will feel at home with the sincere reception provided by the family and devoted personnel. After a hard day riding the bike trails or strolling the undulating terrain within this part of the Snowdonia National Park or maybe resting from your travels, warm your feet by a log burning fire during the winter or sun yourself in the solitary ale park in summer time away from the toils of life and hiking. If you’re after a fast lunch or a weekday snack or a conventional pub meal with family and friends in the evening there is some serious eating to be done here with magnificent fresh Welsh make and uncommon twists to homemade favourites which able to be selected from our major carte menu or specials board. Our dining apartments have lately been adjoined and renowated to allow for larger parties or sectioned off to establish a personal dining region but peaceful retaining the fascination and mood that is typical of the “Tyny” as its known locally. Although the name calls it a hotel there is none of the formality normally associated with hotels, its been called a hotel for over 500 years and we are hardly approximately to break that convention, as it was constructed to cater the hiking social in the days of the Royal Mail as a resting post and mail drop point.
