General Information
Our Bed and Breakfast lodging in Snowdonia National Park serves up amazing views and large breakfasts in fashion. We are glad to have been selected by The Independent Magazine as one of the 50 Best British B and Bs. The preceding Victorian slate cutting mill features been fully restored with furniture convention made by local crafts makers, recent design classics and conventional Welsh materials. Our dining district and ultimate bedrooms face the lively Mawddach Estuary and hills: watch the tide come in over breakfast, see the sun set over a drink on the verandah. Investigate Graig Wen's 45 acres of wild woodland and meadows leading down to the Mawddach Trail from Barmouth to Dolgellau or follow footpaths into the mountains. Our breakfasts collection from a full Welsh cooked breakfast of locally cured bacon and self-sufficient collection eggs and sausage from the neighbouring farm to a mainland with fresh fruit, Welsh cheese, croissant and home made granola. We are certificated to cater alcohol and informal evening lunches able to be provided by arrangement. There are lively local restuarants and bars to eat out with five min drive in Dolgellau and Fairbourne. Other park amusements with simple get to comprise Blue flag sandy beaches, mountain biking and Go Ape hire wire adventure at Coed y Brenin, Harlech Castle, Centre for Alterntive Technology and Portmeirion. Kids over ten welcome. Our own dogs are glad to welcome well behaved dogs too. We have a standard first floor apartment with en room wet suite which is available for ambulant disabled persons - please ask for availability.

We able to organise pick-up (including mountain bikes) or drop off at the station. By bus buses run between AberystwythMachynlleth and Dolgellau - ask driver to drop you at Graig Wen. By auto Turn off A470 Dolgellau bypass, and take A493 signposted TywynFairbourne. Approx five miles from Dolgellau and one mile BEFORE Arthog countryside look out for secluded post-box on right hand-side. Graig Wen is approx 200 yards further on brow of slight hill on right hand side. Ignore Sat Nav whether using post code! It takes you a pair of miles too far to Morfa Mawddach train station.
