The Unicorn Inn Deddington

General Information

Our priority is to produce our dear guests feel welcome from the moment they arrive if it's for just a drink in the brasserie, a great meal, an lodging for the night or a specific function. The Unicorn Inn is a Grade ll listed building; initially a training inn, with some parts of the original building dating back to the 1600's. We are situated in the market place piazza of the beauteous countryside of Deddington, Oxfordshire on the edge of the edge of the Cotswolds in the midst of historic middle England. The Knights family features set out to develop the Unicorn as: •The Deddington “local” of choice •A destination Restaurant of a high enough standard and value that persons will travel a rational distance •An Inn with lodging and amenities of sufficient value that it will be sort out by persons coming to the region, be it for work or leisure. •A spot were persons able to hold their unique function or businesses their conference, board meeting or workshop – knowing they able to rely on the quality of facilities. Saskia Knights is the General Manager focusing on facade of cottage who along with our superior Head Chef, Matt Read see Food and Drink is responsible for the entire facilities at the Unicorn. They are supported by parents John Knights (the commercial head) and Isabella (everyone knows her as Bella) who as a Swede brings a flair to the design of the Inn and a touch of Scandinavia to the food. Joe Mumford and Mike Rudge head the brasserie and restaurant amenities ably supported by Ashley Smith, Tom Daw, Alice Mills and Charles Case. As well as our restaurant and seven bed apartments, we have an exquisite snug, a intimate bar, a versatile function apartment and a large garden… where on warm days you are able to just enjoy a drink on one of our bench tables or indulge in our a la menu in more advanced proximity all covered in delicious parasols.
