General Information
Gorno Grove features been tenderly rebuilt, seamlessly blending up-to-date architecture with original 1850s stone walls. A galleried entry lounge opens into the breakfast room where customers have dinner with their hosts. A comprehensive living room with dramatic vistas over the scenery, features a roaring fire in the fireplace in the winter, excellent pictures and a piano waiting to be played. Strathmiglo is located in the Howe of Fife bounded on the south by the mountains of East and West Lomond and to the north by the Ochil Hills. The River Eden which runs into the sea at St Andrews rises to the west above the countryside of Gateside and flows via the Strath. 5 miles distant from Strathmiglo is the countryside of Falkland and its prominent Palace state hunting lodge for the Kings and Queens of Scotland. The countryside is itself fascinating with lots of bunchs of flowers and petite stone cottages. On a clean day there are marvellous panoramas from the upper of the highway which runs up the shoulder of East Lomond approximately one mile behind Falkland on the highway to Glenrothes. We provide 2 bed guestrooms with en suite amenities, tv and tea making amenities. The ample hall provides an excellent spot to unwind.
