Set on the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake, The Ouse Bridge cottage is a family run Guest House providing a hospitable welcome and wonderful views of Bassenthwaite Lake and Skiddaw. We offer a loosen ambience, super service, tasty food and good value for money in a beautiful and tranquil peaceful location. In addition to attractive views we provide cozy apartments with small extras such as digital TV, DVD players, independent chocolates, fluffy towels and independent Wifi for visitors. We also provide suppers using much tasty local make and have a certificated dwellers hall. We have a comprehensive car parking, drying apartment and safe storage for bicycles.

Transportation

We are located between Keswick and Cockermouth. Exit the M6 at fusion 40 and take the A66 Westbound towards Keswick. By-pass Keswick on the A66 following the signs for Cockermouth. The highway follows the western shore of Bassenthwaite Lake for approximately five miles. There is a short stretch of dual carriageway (this used to be the ancient highway and features several bends). About 250 yards after the end of the dual carriageway take the 1st right turn onto a minor highway, signposted Dubwath and Castle Inn. After only 50 yards, turn right again onto the B5291, signposted for Castle Inn. The Ouse Bridge Hotel is a further 50 yards on the left, set back from the highway.
