A spectacular state escape situated on the old Roman Fosseway in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the edge of Castle Combe -one of a most beautiful countrysides in England - yet just one and a half hours from central London. The original Georgian Farmhouse and farmbuildings have been expertly converted by the present owner into elegant visitor lodging full of character and fashion providing BandB and tasty dinners - by advance reservation. In 2005 2 sumptuous self catering cottages were constructed in the grounds using conventional building materials. The premises is within a short distance of Bath, Bristol and the Cotswolds and there are fine strolling and biking trails in the nearby village. The antique apple orchard supplies the visitors with home made cider and Cream Teas are catered in the park throughout the summer. Open log fires welcome clients on arrival during the winter with popular English breakfasts cooked on the Aga using local Wiltshire farm make.

Transportation

From London: M4 west to mix 17 dir Chippenham. at 4th roundabout turn right on to A420 dir Bristol. After two miles turn right on to the B4039 dir Castle Combe Race Circuit. Continue for three miles till reaching The Salutation InnPub on the right hand side. Turn left immediately opp the pub - this is The Fosse Way. Continue 1 mile we are the 1st property on the right. From Bath town centre: take A4London Road at 3rd set of traffic lights turn left on to A36 dir M4 motorway. At the 1st roundabout turn right on to A420 dir Chippenham. After 3 miles at The Shoe countryside turn left opp the phone box on the right .This is The Fosse Way. Continue on this highway for three miles. We are on the left hand side AFTER the turning to Nettleton countryside. From Chippenham BR station - cab to the farmhouse. From Heathrow Airport-train to Chippenham-taxi to the Farmhouse.
