General Information

Come and produce yourself at home at our family run Inn the Longlands. Our 11 Inn apartments are all planned personally with an eclectic blend of ancient and present-day. Some suites have modern beds, others ancient fashioned brass bedsteads, Vi-Spring mattresses, serene recent bathrooms piled high with fluffy white towels, flat screen televisions, and tea and airy coffee provided by our local coffee merchant Atkinson's of Lancaster. Our Lapwing Rooms at the newer side of the Inn have vistas towards the recent marina. They are larger, with clean airy windows and spacious, homely beds to spread out in. Our Coach House apartments are in the higgledy piggledy ancient part of the Inn and although they are smaller they are full of spell with vistas over the fields. Our 6 Cottages are stone built, slate roofed, self catering cottages - imagine being at home with a state pub in your back garden!! Set in Tewitfield hamlet with its own marina, terraces and kids' play region under development, the cottages sit neighboring to the Lancaster Canal and Greenland's Farm Centre with its own craft center, cafe, bakery and butcher's boutique. Every house features been discretely furnished with facilitate from our most tasty friends, so they are all brimming with character. Longlands features a great cafe and restaurant, we cater fresh locally sourced products and glad to be part of the Taste Lancashire association. We are lucky enough to be close to Tewitfield locks on the Lancaster Canal, ideal for strolling your 4 legged friend in the morning. We're only a mile away from blend 35 of the M6, ideally located for days out to the Lakes, the Yorkshire Dales, Trough of Bowland, the seashore of Morecambe and the historic town of Lancaster. We have live music on Monday nights which brings our typically styled state Inn to life.

Transportation

Take the M6 to J35 and take the M601 dual carriage way to CarnforthKendal. At the roundabout take the second exit A6 to Milnthorpe. At the following roundabout take the second exit A6070 to Burton In Kendal. Follow this highway for a short distance, go over the highway and The Longlands is on the right hand side.
