General Information

Fox House in Holwell proposes bed & breakfast accomodation in a quiet and fashionable setting. Our objective is to give the standard of comfort you would expect to find in a luxury shop hotel in a friendly privately-owned home. Clients enter through their own facade door which leads into the capacious living room. Also on the 1st floor is an immense double bedroom with vistas over the park and en apartment shower apartment, and a guests' cloakroom with loo and wash basin. Iron and ironing board are also situated on the first floor. Stairs lead to the ground floor suites, a twin bedded apartment looking over the park and double suite with velux windows. Between the 2 suites is a shower and a bathroom and a spacious hanging cupboard which also retains the fridge and kettle for hot drinks. All rooms in the hotel have flat screen digital TV, hairdryer, tea/coffee making amenities, access to mini fridge and vistas over the park. Bedlinen is 100% cotton, bathrooms finished with marble mosaic tiles, and the style a blend of old and present-day furniture and accessories in natural colours. Wi-fi attainable in guests' living room. Breakfast is catered in the breakfast room, with french doors leading out onto the balcony with lawns behind. In cold weather we light the woodburning stove in the breakfast room. We offer an option of cooked or nutritious breakfas, and a choice of fresh fruit, recently pressed juice and cereal. Home-made jam and local honey is on the desk, and usually fresh home-made bread. Holwell is a tiny, calm and totally unspoilt countryside, set amongst rolling farmland and woods. Stroll out of Fox House, which was indigenously constructed as the countryside school, and you have instant access to a net of footpaths, bridleways and petite lanes, which lead from the countryside in 4 directions, making this the ideal site for strolling or cycling. Local horse-riding able to be arranged.
