Later, the liberally-minded Sharpe family, conservationists, musicians and naturists, operated The High View as a bed & breakfast establishment with a caravan spot attached. Their work continued till the 1960s, after which it was prominent for a whilst as The Winter's Tale. Since then, the structure features been one of the properties in the estate of a national brewery.
