General Information

Thanet cottage is advantageously located for weekends and short breaks alike. The New Forest is within simple driving distance as is the Dorset Jurassic coastline, Poole’s grand haven and Corfe Castle and steam railway to Swanage. For work customers it proposes a peaceful site to visit within mins of numerous banking, finance, insurance and conference centres and is exactly twenty mins from international sea and airports, national rail and motorway links. Thanet House was constructed in 1884 as part of the Alum Chine Estate. Initially the mill proprietors family home it stood on open heath land. The mill no longer remains but the nice forests mountain range features been protected and laid with footpaths providing a pretty strolls to the coast and rock upper. Our home is your home and we believe your visit should be as cozy as possible. Our 3 double suites, 2 twin apartment and our family suiteall have en-suite bathrooms. Our single room is equipped an intimate bathroom. Each room has a spacious LCD Freeview TV, digital alarm clock, hairdryer and additionaly fairtrade tea and coffee. Free wi-fi is obtainable throughout the cottage and you're also invited to borrow books and DVDs from our own range. (Sorry but we don’t have amenities for pets). We are fully licenced and drinks able to be delighted in the solitude of your own apartment, on the facade park courtyard, or in the living room by the fire on colder in the evenings.
