This delicate and solitary property built in the 1850s is 100 yards from the major line train station and features its own beauteous garden with marvelous vistas of the River Tweed. It also features privately-owned offroad parking zone for a few autos. It's the ideal place to begin your vacation and find Berwick and the environs by foot or auto or social transportation. Berwick is steeped in heritage and in our grounds we have part of the unequaled remaining stronghold from Berwick's thirteenth century palace. The cottage nestles high above the river bank close to Stephenson's well-known Royal Border Bridge with its substantial 28 arches. The city center is only 10 minutes' stroll away, but please take into account there is a steep drive from the cottage up to the major highway. Or take a twenty minute walk to the city using the good path along the riverside. This takes you through a sheltered cool woody dale and nearly a hundred steps down to the river. There are numerous pleasant strolls only moments away by the sea, hole golf course or around the city walls. Breakfast is catered in the living room which is a broad yet homely apartment with walls lined with books and pictures. In this place you able to enjoy a delicious cooked breakfast catered with home made bread and preserves. We can to accommodate particular dietary requirements. After you have checked out you're welcome to leave your auto or luggage to empower you to spend your final day in Berwick unencumbered.

Transportation

By auto: take the A1 to Berwick and follow directions to the train station. The 100 yard driveway to Castle Vale House is immediately to the left of the station entry. By train or bus: with Berwick train station entry beyond you stroll 20 yards to the right and take small set of stone steps down via the railings and stroll 50 yards down the drive to the cottage.
