Transportation
Following the usual route signs into Bath from the M4 may cause you delays as the traffic able to be heavy and the one-way system sometimes frustrating. We have therefore put together a unique route (usually used by Bathonians) from the M4 to The Royal Crescent, which should be trouble-free and, all things considered, should bring you safely to our doors from the M4 in approximately 20 mins. From Junction 18 follow the A46 towards Bath for about two. five miles. You'll pass The Crown Inn on your left and then the gorgeous Dyrham Park and the Tollgate Teashop on your right. Immediately after The Tollgate Teashop, take a right turn (there are no directional signs). Continue along the twisty highway for about 1. five miles till you come at a T-junction. At the T-junction turn right (signposted Bristol A420), then immediately left to Hamswell. Follow the twisty highway past Toghill Farm on your right, down the hill and up another hill to a T-junction (approx. 1. five miles). At the T-junction turn left up the hill, following the signs to ?Lansdown and Bath?. Continue along this highway for the following pair of miles you'll drive along passing Lansdown Golf Club and Bath Racecourse on the right. Continue past The Blathwayt Arms pub on the right and then on to the town proximity. As you enter the town you'll pass the Hare and Hounds pub on the left. The highway continues downhill till you get to another T-junction with a church to the left. Turn directly at the T-junction and then drive down the hill, passing The Farmhouse Inn on the left and then 2 pubs on the right -The Belvedere on the corner of Morford Street and The Beehive close to the corner of Julian Road. Continue past Julian Road on your right. Take the right turn into Bennett Street (street name carved into the stone at ground floor level). Pass Russell Street and Circus Mews on your right. Drive into The Circus (Georgian houses built in a circle). Take the 2nd exit out of The Circus into Brock Street. Drive direct onto the cobbled highway of the Royal Crescent at the end of Brock Street, by the phone box. Drive towards the very heart of the Crescent. The inn is Number 16, next to the spacious magnolia tree. Please garden your auto at the facade of the inn and our Concierge will valet garden it for you.
