Chris and Jenny Mullen would like to invite you to Cairn Bay Lodge, a guesthouse for the discerning traveler embedded in huge parks with glorious views of Ballyholme Bay and Ballymacormick Point Built in 1914 for Belfast City Councellor William Tyrell, The Cairn is a detached seaside resort bungalow with classic oak panelling, Dutch fireplaces and fine stained glass. His son Air Vice Marshall Sir William Tyrell was surgeon to the Queen Mother and the present day Queen. So pleased of the fact that his son held such an illustrious situation William Senior had balconies built at both the facade and rear of the cottage in anticipation of a Royal Visit. Sadly much to his appointment this never materialised. Now it's home to Chris and Jenny Mullen, and daughter Poppy, and visitors from all over the world. Lively cordiality and leisure are on propose. Jenny is a skilled Beauty Therapist with a salon on the site and and Chris is in charge of the kitchen with breakfast being his speciality. Assist yourself to County Armagh apple juice, seasonal fruits, home-made soda bread, wheaten bread and yoghurt, followed by one of the daily specials such as Baked Irish Goat's Cheese, local oak smoked salmon omelette or Traditional Ulster Grill.
