The Coach House Bampton is a 3 bedroom B&B, rated 4-star with a silver award by "Visit Britain" and is one of the few B&Bs in renowned Britain to get the 1st ever and much coveted "Enjoy England Breakfast Award", sponsored by Kelloggs. A newly converted stables and coach cottage, all 3 suites have en-suite bathrooms. They are full of character, up in the eaves of the structure with many antique oak beams and sloping ceilings. The snug beds are made with the best Egyptian cotton linen covering high quality, non-allergenic pillows and duvets. Every room is catered with a flat-screen TV, wi-fi i-net connection, tea/coffee making equipping, L'Occitane de Provence soap and shampoo, home made flapjacks and a decanter of amontillado sherry. Bampton, well known for its Morris Dancing celebration on the May-end bank vacation, is a pleasant, unspoilt Cotswold stone countryside with none of the treveller fuss of its more outstanding neighbours. It's, however, a short ride from Oxford, Blenheim Palace, Kelmscott Manor, Silverstone, the Bicester Outlet Centre, Cotswold Wildlife Park and, no doubt, the prestigious Cotswold countrysides. It's also at the foot of the young river Thames, and the proprietors are glad to collect and drop Thames walkers from and to their stop-off points. Local restaurants and bars are numerous and first-rate. The Coach House is home to a permanent exhibition of the paintings of the famed artist Pip Shuckburgh, co-owner of the establishment, and is the Oxfordshire caveau of the Confrerie du Sabre D'Or. From the moment they opened the Coach House, the proprietors were determined to give a B&B experience of the quality they would expect themselves. They are just as determined today, and their care to detail and facilities, their dictum that no visitor should be surprised by anything other than the top quality of cordiality, is reflected in their awards and reviews.
