The Three Tuns Hotel Baldock

General Information

We are a conventional Country Hotel, Pub and Restaurant located in the center of the countryside of Ashwell, North Hertfordshire which is also at the foot of the South Cambridge county border. We able to trace the existing building back to 1806, but a social cottage is recorded as existing on this spot since 1701. The Pub today features 2 bars: a hall brasserie with a restaurant, a spacious social brasserie also serving food (pets welcome) and a confidential dining function suite. There is an extensive park at the back with mature borders which provides a fine space for soothing in the summer months, specifically with the huge kids' play district. There is a courtyard to the left of our building which brings an element of Cafe culture to the countryside with mainland fashion dining and socializing. We also have a full marquee to cover this region for wedding ceremonies and selebryties that able to sit 60 persons. The Hotel features 6 bedrooms with the doubles all having en-suite bathrooms. Apartment two features a four-poster bed & could be described as our honeymoon room, while all the bedrooms are ornamented in a state living fashion with plenty of delightful pieces of relic furniture. The Lounge brasserie is conventional in its adornment and ambiance. The open fire, carpets and furniture add to the snug and relaxed feeling of this brasserie. The restaurant seats around 50 persons for lunchtime and evening food or all day eating on Saturday, Sunday's and Bank Holiday's. Look out for the Specials Board and roomy Wine List. The dining function suite is at the back of the hall brasserie and seats 40 persons. There is an ample gulf window which faces the guesthouse terraces and we believe the suite was aboriginally the pub's smoke cottage with rows of hanging hooks tranquil visible in the beams. The toilets are situated in what was once the pub's original wine vault. The Public brasserie is open plan and features leather sofas and leather bench seating throughout. The brasserie features a bustling and conventional community pub feel approximately it and live music occasions are held regularly. We are at the foot of the cities of Royston, Baldock, Letchworth. Biggleswade and Hitchin. Ashwell is just 15 miles from the town of Cambridge and London is only 45 miles away by auto. The major line station that runs to Kings Cross and Cambridge services Ashwell.
