General Information
Mingulay House is a lovely and roomy up-to-date home that enjoys a tranquil solitary peaceful location where your hosts, Dan and Jane White, propose the warmest of welcomes, superior lodging, amazing views and the best ground from which to admire the a lot of activities surrounding. Clients are welcome to discover the roomy captivating park with its rill, pond and different fruit trees. You may perhaps be lucky enough to glimpse some of the local wildlife that often appears. Mingulay House is located half way between Oban and Fort William, just 15 min drive from Glencoe. A five minute drive away is the Dragons Tooth hole golf course and surrounding is the recent section of National Cycle Route No. 78 (Cambeltown to Inverness), so we are a welcome stopover for weary cyclists! These is a pleasant local coast 'Cuil Bay' that is within short distance of the cottage (approximately thirty minutes walk). There are also a lot of pleasant strolls within the region. three En-Suite Bedrooms every with Freesat TV, DVD, Ipod Docking Station, RadioAlarm, Hairdryer and Hospitality Tray containing organic and fairtrade products. The standard double suite is located on the first floor. The exceptional and dainty family bedrooms are upstairs. There is a visitor snug district upstairs; this features amazing views with a choice of books, toys and DVD's for visitors to use. There is Private Parking - Special Diets Catered For - Walkers, Cyclists and Bikers Welcome - Bag, Bike and Boot Storage - Free 24 hour WiFi accessible throughout the cottage.
Transportation
We are cozy to find on the A828 Argyll Coastal Route off the A82, we are almost 12 way between Oban (25 miles) and Fort William (20 miles). We are 6 miles south of Ballachulish and ten miles north of Appin. By highway: From the north - Arriving from Fort William or Glencoe on the A82 you get to a roomy roundabout south of the bridge over Loch Leven at Ballachulish. At the roundabout follow the sign for A828 Oban, Argyll Coastal Route. Travel five miles and once you're through Kentallen we are the 1st turning on the right as you arrive into Duror (just after the Achandarroch Caravan garden sign which is on the left). Mingulay is clearly signposted at the end of our single track highway. From the south - Coming north from Oban on the A85 we are 20 miles north of the Connel Bridge in the direction of Fort William on the A828. On route you pass the Oban Sealife Centre and then after Appin you'll see Castle Stalker on your left. When you get to the sign for Duror, Mingulay House is found two miles further on clearly signposted on the left hand side (just after Pineapple House).
