The inn is part of small chain. The Collector's Hotels in Stockholms Old Town that is owned and administrated by the Bengtsson Family since 1974. The name Lord Nelson is taken from the founders' widely-known love of maritime antiques and parts of the family's privately-owned range are on display in the whole hotel. The maritime topic runs like a scarlet thread in the whole hotel and gives visitors and clients the impression of actually being on a ship. The hotel's maritime ambiance is further reinforced in the apartments by typical ship fashion wooden floors, a port hole on the bathroom door and a ship model that is an exact replica of the old ship the suite was named after. Housed in a narrow and tall building dating back to the eighteenth century, the Lord Nelson Hotel is the narrowest hotel in Sweden only 6 m huge.
