During 2011 Strandvagen 7c celebrates its 100th anniversary - King Oscar II got his st, Strandvagen, in the late nineteenth Century. Strandvagen seven was completed in 1911 and was one of the 1st buildings on the esplanade. The Malmstrom family bought Strandvagen 7c in 1918 and during the depression let out a few of the impressive rooms to foreign embassies. The remaining rooms were converted into hotel apartments. During 1940-60 Strandvagspensionatet was run on the ground floor. The present owner Sune Malmstrom turned the structure into a modish hotel in 1966 and took the name Hotel Diplomat. Transportation

Driving directions from Arlanda Airport. Follow signs towards E4 Stockholm. Exit Norrtull - Stockholm City (E20). Turn left on Sveaplan and then right again on Sveavagen. Turn left on Kungsgatan and right when you get to Birger Jarlsgatan. Continue towards Nybroplan and turn left on Nybrokajen. You're now reaching Strandvagen. You'll see the guesthouse on your left hand side. Produce a u-turn. Stop at Strandvagen 7c, Welcome to Hotel Diplomat. Driving directions from Central Station Follow Klarabergsviadukten to Klarabergsgatan towards Sergels Torg. Pass the round approximately and continue on Hamngatan with department store NK on your left hand side. Turn right on Nybroplan and continue towards Strandvagen. Turn left on Styrmansgatan and immidiately left again to get to Strandvagen in the other direction. The inn is situated at Strandvagen 7c. Welcome to Hotel Diplomat.
