The Suarez de Figueroa family were 1st lords, then counts and finally gained the title of Dukes of Feria by the chic of King Phillip II. The Dukes of Feria got home in a castle-palace built in 1437 on the remains of a Muslim fortress. Today that magnificent building houses the Parador de Zafra.
