General Information

Some of the wonderful suites to be found on the 1st floor of this 1500 meter squared indiano casona, built in 1872, are a living room with hearth, another living room with a little library containing books approximately Cantabria, and a glass-roofed courtyard.

On the ground floor furniture made from mahogany and from the modernist period and on the 2nd floor lofted suites with their original wooden beams creating a particular atmosphere. Behind the glass-roofed courtyard are five more apartments, 2 of which have service for the disabled. A nice park planted with indigenous trees surrounds our Casona making it the ideal place to unwind during all the year.

We have a entire of 22 suites, including two single apartments and a room with living room. All of our rooms are en-suite (two have hydromassage baths) and have heating, phone and tv and some adapted for the disabled. There is also private car park. We have connection wifi in apartments and halls.

Breakfast at the Casona consists of natural fruit juice, regional specialties, a fruit basket, olive oil, cheeses and cured meats. We have 2 extensive reception desk apartments, one with hearth and the other a reading apartment (with books approximately the region), a dining-room and a central glass-roofed courtyard of 140 meter squared which along with an adjoining reception desk apartment makes the perfect location for wedding ceremonies and selebryties and work gatherings.

Transportation

Nuestra Casona se encuentra en Quijas, un lugar privilegiado para conocer toda Cantabria, ya que esta situada en el centro de nuestra area. Estamos muy proximos a Santillana del Mar (Cuevas de Altamira), Comillas y de la Reserva Natural del Saja, asi como de la playa de Cobreces y de las playas de San Vicente de la Barquera, y a tan solo 20 minutos de Santander. A 30 minutos se encuentra la Cueva El Soplao y el Parque de Cabarceno. Para poder disfrutar de nuestro entorno, desde Casona Torre de Quijas les proponemos visitas guiadas al Parque Natural Saja-Besaya y actividades de turismo activo(consultenos ofertas, descuentos y paquetes especiales). Para los amantes del hole golf, el campo Abra de Pas a fifteen minutos.
