General Information

Palacio de Mariana Pineda, stately castle of the nobility built during the XVII century with a superb pillar of 1644, was the familiar cottage of te mentioned heroine, born on September first 1804. As the time went by, the wars, fights and life have filled of heritage the courtyard and its walls.

Palacio de Mariana Pineda Hotel - Museum XVII Century keeps a superior central courtyard where a great pillar stands out with an original coat of arms of the mentioned period, its lower part was made by Diego de Siloe (XVI century) and its top part from 1644 built by the aristrocratic family of los Pisa. By the lighting central courtyard logs on to the various original salons and to the 5 apartments, major of them with imposing vistas to La Alhambra and the emblematic Darro river. The central courtyard is also communicated with the astonishing vault, made in exposed brick where an anciant wall that used to take the water in from the Darro river is maintained.

The 5 suites, every of them with various decoration, brag spectacular views. The bathrooms are adorned with handmade tiles of conventional ceramics of Granada kown as Fajalauza (Morales family since 1640), hydromassage bath or jacuzzi and vistas to the Alhambra.

We are situated in the center of the historic centre: the Albayzin quarter, opposite the Alhambra and only 5 minutes away from the Cathedral and mall center. Whether you plan to arrive by auto, please contact the guesthouse by e-mail, and we will send you directions to receive without time waste. It's extremely indispensable since most of the town centre is restricted by cameras and it's rather complex to drive in this district.
