Location Information

The beach of Illetes is one of the nearest to Palma city and greatly well for social transportation, this is dotted with fair coves and off the beach there are 3 islands, Sa Torre, S'Estenedor o des Pas and Sa Caleta, which together form the “Ses Illetes” group. Overlooking the whirlpool is a military fort dating from the end of the nineteenth century. Like the defence stronghold of Ses Illetes, it was 1st used as a signal citadel and was part of the observation posts that extended along the Calvia beach. Till the end of the twentieth century, one section of the beach was closed off as it belonged to the Army, but it features been returned to its previous proprietors and is now open to the social. The beaches in this region have all possible services: deckchairs, sun umbrellas, bars, surrounding hotels, buses, etc.
