General Information

This hospitable mountain enclave is situated in the eastern sloping Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park. It was declared to be a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1997 and is also a famous region for enjoying sports and open-air activities. The fresh Pyrenean air, the serene waters of the river Cinca or the custom of the Nuestra Senora de Pineta roman hermitage, will leave you feeling healthy, relaxed and quiet. The floors, walls, and exposed wooden beams and columns are filled with contemporary and accommodating furniture. Some of the bedrooms have fantastic views over this adorable natural enclave. The High Aragon cuisine holds strong flavours and seasoning producing easy but delicious dishes: migas aragonesas (fried breadcrumbs with sausage and grapes), Cinca river trout cooked in sherry, young roast lamb, wild boar stew and teresicas de Aragon (puff pastry dessert).

Transportation

The Parador is at the base of the Pineta Valley, 200 metres. from the lobby to the Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park. It's the far end of Bielsa, 14 kilometers. from the center of the city. The city is 135 kms. from Huesca, all the highways from Madrid, Aragon and Cataluna lead to Barbastro. From there you turn onto the N-123, towards El Grado (18 kilometers. ) and then onto the A-138, passing via the town of Santuario de Torre. 50 kilometers. onwards you come at Ainsa, where you must take the 'carretera internacional' towards France passing through Bielsa (34 kilometers.
