Encircled by 75 000 hectares of malaria-free African sand veld, this luxury lodge is superbly placed on the Groot Marico River in the center of Madikwe Game Reserve. The skilled game rangers generously share their intimate knowledge of the bush as you venture on your a lot of safari rides or game strolls. At Madikwe River Lodge, the African Adventure is both rewarding and lounging and unites the ruggedness of nature with splendor and comfort. Madikwe River Lodge offers cosy lodging in sixteen solitary split-level thatched chalets embedded in the cool stillness of a riverine wood. Every chalet is individualy colored to establish a wealthy African feel, and propose an en-suite bathroom and shower with a full variety of visitor facilities, air-conditioning, complimentary tea/coffee making amenities, and a confidential wooden viewing deck facing the river. Luxury Suite has comprise a disunite hall region and an outside shower.

Facilities and activities at Madikwe River Lodge comprise 24 hour safety (the lodge is encircled by an electric fence), an amiable swimming pool with sun deck at the major lodge, a cliff pool, and a curio boutique. The lodge also proposes a complimentary clothes laundering service to its customers, in addition to a babysitting facilities. Game viewing, however, is Madikwe's major activity, and the reserve is the fourth biggest game reserve in South Africa and is proud of the 2nd biggest Elephant population. Game Drives and Bush Walks are conducted daily by our marvellous rangers, and although kids under the age of 8 years are not permitted on the standard game drives, specialised Children's Drives are provided. Open-air catering is a major part of life at Madikwe River Lodge, and, weather permitting, meals are usually catered outdoors. Dinner is catered in our Island Boma or in the lodge breakfast room, snack is catered on the major lodge deck, while breakfast is catered in the breakfast room or open-air deck. The summer allow for the added experience of Bush Dinners, which able to be arranged on demand.
