The original Edwardian era home features been nicely restored to its former glory to mirror the original architecture. The major building, a double storey, consists a reception, a visitor hall and ten en-suite bedrooms on the 2 floors. The recently built annex is a single storey set several m from the major building and joined by covered walkways. The annex features seven en-suite bedrooms. All the bedrooms are luxuriously furnished with period furniture imported from France and colourfully adorned with quality soft finishings. The terraces, while peaceful in their infancy, are planted with a array of various herb, spice and scented plants, bushes and trees. Directions from King Shaka Airport to Quarters Hotel Avondale Road - DurbanYou will need to follow the N2 South. Take the Umhlali ? M4 offramp and unite the M4 (aka Ruth First freeway)Follow the M4 into Durban - soon after crossing the Umgeni River you'll see the Suncoast Casino on your left hand side. Turn right immediately after you pass the gambling house turn directly at the se of traffic lights onto the M17 - Sandile Thusi Road (formerly known as Argyle Road). Travel up the M17 through 6 sets of traffic lights. At the seventh set turn left into Avondale Road. We are the 2 white houses encircled by a white pillar fence on the corner of the M17 and Avondale Road. From Durban City Centre: From the City Hall in Dr Pixley Kaseme (West Street) take the 1st left into Samora Machel (Aliwal Street). Continue direct into Masabalala Yengwa (NMR Avenue) and turn off at the 1st off ramp on Masabalala Yengwa onto the M17 Sindile Thusi (Argyle Road). Turn left and continue direct through 5 sets of traffic lights, at the sixth set (Avondale Road) turn left. Quarters on Avondale is on your urgent right.
