Historic buildings
The Council Tower, Piata Mica nr. 1
The Council Tower was constructed in the 13th century being the 1st time mentioned in a document dated 1370. Its name is related to the following building, which was the 1st Town Hall of the town. The belfry became the entrance hall gate of the 2nd fortified walls. At the last floor, an observation table allows a bird-eyes vista over the historic city and 1 floor below you are able to see the clock mechanism
The Arts House, Piata Mare nr. 21
The Arts House is one of a most beautiful buildings in Sibiu and 1 of city's symbols. The Arts House, is the Old Butchers cottage built in 15th century and purposed for boutiques, dominates the marketplace with its silhouette with eight arches at the first floor. Now hosts the Emil Sigerus Museum
Stairs Tower, Piata Huet
The stronghold, one of the oldest building in Sibiu, is raised on the foundation of the oldest element conserved from the 1st fortifications around the church existing here at the end of the 12-th century. The present stronghold is dated from 1542
The Fortress
The most of the remaining parts of the antique City Walls and Towers able to be seen on the East side of the city along the Coposu Avenue and Manejului Street. On Cetatii Street there are 3 remaining towers from the third belt of fortifications.
The Thick Tower,

built at the center of the sixteenth century it used to be the infantry citadel. The 1st city cinema was installed here in 1778. Recently repaired and incorporated in the recent town theatre
Haller Bastion
Part of the protection edifice that encircled the ancient town, built in 1552. Located at the south-eastern end of the fortification, on the present Corneliu Coposu Boulevard, is a capacious construction with brick structure.
In the Lower Town, at the further end of strada Zidului (Wall Street) stands the circular Gunpowder Tower (Turnul Pulberariei).
A circular massive stronghold built in sixteenth century as part of Ocna Gate Complex used to store gunpowder. In Pulberariei st stands an octagonal citadel built by the Tanner's guild, Turnul Pielarilor
The Old Town Hall
A historic building used to be the Old Town Hall for 450 years. The structure was constructed in sixteenth century in Renaissance and Gothic fashion.
There is a art gallery in the yard, which leads to the campanile.
Haller House, Piata Mare ten,
Built in Renascence fashion it preserves from the antique edifice built in 15-16th century the arches, decorations, doorframes, and the portal with blazon. Haller family will be the owner of the structure for 345 years.
Bobel House

It is amongst the oldest dwelling from Sibiu.
The Liars Bridge, Piata Mica
The 1st iron-cast bridge in Romania built in 1859 over the way of acces that connects the top city to the lower city, opened in 1851.
