General Information

The origins of the House are lost in time. The existing documents concerning the cottage date from 1798 and confirmed that the cottage features everytime belonged to the family Homem de Ferreira. In successive generations, the cottage was stretched and re-equipped, everytime preserving the architecture and the distinctive materials of the Beira Alta. In 2000, after an authorized process from the Tourism General Bureau, the actual proprietors started a rebuilding and refurbishing process, adjusting it to fit the needs for Tourism in the Rural Space. The cottage, now remodeled, is furnished with six large rooms consecrated to Tourism in Rural Space. The yard, which had been used for planting agricultural products, was changed into a lovely garden and orchard with a pool and tennis court. Content provided favour of the site.
