General Information

Vila Monte is a state resort situated in the rustic Algarve, 10 minutes away from the coast. Encircled by lush terraces, Vila Monte proposes an exotic ambiance inspired in the memories left centuries ago by the moors in the Algarve. The Resort is a captivating resort for golfers. The resort features a 3-hole PitchandPutt course, a driving-range, a few putting greens and a resident hole golf pro. With more than 30 courses, the Algarve is considered one of the world's upper hole golf destinations. Hidden in the Vila Monte park, the Kasbah Spa invites visitors to a pampering experience in an ambiance of floral scents, exotic massages and relaxing treatments for mind and body. The thermal proposes a faithful cocoon for the senses, with a few massage suites, an arab bath and a hammam. The luring fragrance of mint tea will be a permanent companion in this oasis of tranquillity and calmness. Vila Monte's restaurant, Orangerie, proposes a cuisine based on algarvian products, from honey produced in the Monchique mountains to the fish brought from the market place of Olhao. We also use ingredients organically grown on the country, namely citrus frutits, figs, almonds and airy herbs.

Transportation

Faro Airport (FAO): Approximate driving time is 20 mins and distance is 25 kilometres (15. five miles).

Taxis and buses depart from outside the terminal building. Aerobus provides a shuttle facilities between the airport and town heart daily (except Tuesday) in high season.

Driving directions: From the airport, exit and drive towards the A22. Take the direction Spain/Tavira/Olhao. Take the A22 for 15 kilometres and then exit onto Olhao/Moncarapacho. 50 m after the exit there is a roundabout. Proceed towards Moncarapacho. The health centre is 800 meters after the roundabout on the left.
