The restaurant caters lovely regional foods such as grilled codfish, kid stew and local egg pudding. This property was constructed on the ruins of a previous convent. Before the abbey this was the premises of a hermitage founded in the thirteenth century. This features protected the abbey history intact. The chapel and sacristy have been changed into hall and brasserie. The result is a harmonious mix of historical architecture and existent construction and joy. The lobby to the Pousada features been embellished and catered to an apartan fashion but constantly up to a high standard and richness. Beige, terracota and brown colours have been used.
