General Information

Situated in the ancient town, between the downtown and the port region, our hotel provides an amiable base to discover this historically wealthy and culturally diverse town. Set against the impressive backdrop of the cliffs of the Carso plain, the narrow, winding streets of the town below are full of pavement cafes, sea food restaurants and art museums. Around the corner from the guesthouse is the Old Stock Exchange Building, an incredible specimen of Neo-Classic architecture, with Doric fashion columns and decorated with statues of Greek gods. Also worth seeing is the cathedral of San Giusto, built on the premises of an Augustan temple and silent retaining Roman fragments. Within, are lovely mosaics from the 7th and 12th centuries.
