General Information

A nineteenth-century bungalow, in the decor distinctive of the mountains around Bologna: this is Villa Valfiore, a residence set within terraces planted with centuries-old trees, right in the tranquil center of the rural area yet right outside the gates of the mediaeval town of Bologna, with all its strategic infrastructures, from the trade fair heart to the airport.
The residence, today re-equipped throughout but with its original appearance protected intact, was constructed with the utmost care to detail, with materials and finishing touches blending superbly with every other, from the flooring to the lighting right through to the choice of the colours for the fabrics.
The big metro parking provides easy access to the Villa and its amenities, without interfering in any way with the noble Mediterranean park. The fragrance of dried lavender, with which the vases on each floor are filled, floats delicately via the wellness zone, the conference room, the restaurant (open also to visitors from outside the hotel) and the reception desk halls, right into the apartments.

The silent, tranquil apartments are embellished by smartly crafted antique-style furniture and accessories, in shades of grey and taupe. If you're staying interior the Villa itself, in the surrounding visitor quarters or the disunite annex, you'll have the possibility to appreciate the nice range of plants in the park and to gaze out over the mountains of Bologna.
Almost all of the bathrooms have big windows that look out onto the vast, centuries-old terraces of the Villa, and the suites are ideally embellished, with refined care to detail: from the cushions in linen and Egyptian cotton to the fresh bunchs of flowers and the favour items.

The highway that leads to Villa Valfiore continues on towards the Vena del Gesso, a vein of gypsum that is one of the majority essential, distinctive cliff formations in complete of the Emilia-Romagna Apennines. A specific feature of the region, popular with hill-walkers and customers, are the caves: there are 200 of them known to us today, including the eminent Grotta della Spipola cave and the chalky outcrops of the Farneto caves, interior which traces of human settlements dating back to the Bronze Age were found.
