Getting around: The easiest way to receive around Venice is on foot or by vaporetto (public water bus). 3 day vaporetto passes propose unlimited travel and cost €25. Gondolas able to be hired on the canals and water taxis traverse the town. Gondola ferries (traghetti) traverse the Grand Canal and cost 50 cents per journey. Drivers must leave autos at Tronchetto or Piazzale Roma.
