General Information

This 500 hectare seventeenth centuty estate is only 20kms from Florence and features everytime belonged to the same notable Florentine family. The landscape recalls the set of the film La Notte di San Lorenzo by the Taviani brothers, filmed in the plantations of grapevines, wheat fields and olive trees of the estate. Gioconda, welcomes customers and shows them round the estate. This consists of the sixteenth century manor, restful inhabited by the owners; the fattoria or farm where 2 of the visitor suites, I Pini and La Spiga, are located and the vault, storing the additional virgin olive oil and wine produced on the estate Chianti Colli Fiorentini. The other rooms Le Rose, La Cappellina etc are located interior small stone-built hamlet, 600 metres. away, with the local restaurant, (not run by the estate owners), where customers able to savour the tasty culinary peculiarities of the region. On a little state highway between the countryside and the farm (300 mt) there is another farmhouse, Podere Masso, renovated in 2003, with four very cozy suites. Visitor amenities include a delectable swimming pool opposite the bungalow (7 x 14 meters. - open MaySept.). Car Museum at the farm. Vintage auto museum on the farm. Transportation

Motorway A1, exit Firenze-Signa. Enter the Highway Florence-Pise-Livorno, exit Ginestra Fiorentina. Turn right and after having just arrived to the countryside, turn right to Montespertoli. After approximately 700 mts, to the highway sign with Anselmo written on it, turn right toa little bridge and continue to the uphilll highway for approximately two km. At La Lanterna restaurant, continue descending the highway and then turn left to Montespertoli then turn directly at the parting of the ways. The farmhouse is on the upper of the uphill highway.
