General Information

Torre don Virgilio (The don Virgilio Tower) was made in the 16th century as an observation stronghold along what was known as "The Wheat Trail" that wound its way via the village of Modica and along the southern beach of Sicily encircled by the uncontaminated nature of the highlands of Ibleo, a setting tinted with the hues of the changing seasons, which provides a vacation in entire unwind.

Guests are pampered by the traditionally polite Sicilian cordiality and specimen authentic and attractive Mediterranean dishes supplemented by autocton wines which reveal the distinctive perfumes of this sunblessed territory while discovering the richness of the baroque cities that have been declared "Heritage of Humanity". The building is a fortified residence, an enclosed structure preserved by high walls of white stone with a superior entry crowned by the opulent emblem. The architectural complex, which overlooks onto an ample internal patio called "the baglio", consists of the major floor with the master's dwelling, the privy chapel, the farm worker's houses, the stables, the granary, the ancient oil mill with the big grindstones and the storehouses. The manor house farm has just been renewed to its old splendour respecting rigorously the original structure. It's now home to an fine hotel complex offering various solutions for lodging and prestigious services for ceremonies, weddings and conferences.

The wonderful apartments with stone walls and beamed ceilings all have air conditioning, TV, fridge brasserie and a balcony with park furniture. The rooms give the convenience of the bedroom accompanied by the lavish of a living room.
