Bungalow Le Barone is a confidential, deluxe home embedded in the beauteous Tuscan mountains opposite the San Leolino old-fashioned Abbey. Le Barone was once the home of the prominent Tuscan family, Della Robbia. It was renovated into a de luxe little hotel by a descendant of the family, Duchessa Franca Visconti.
There are 30 rooms for guests, some with their own verandah. All are differently embellished, with contemporary tiled bathrooms. Apartments are in the major Villa or in refurbished cottages and barns. The lounges are specifically inviting, fashionably furnished with interesting, family antiques. On demand, dinner, based on distinctive Tuscan recipes, is catered in the restaurant, which formerly housed the winery, or on the verandah. There is an attractive swimming pool, romantically set on a rosette park verandah looking over the plantations of grapevines, and a tennis court with a lovely vista on the Chianti mountains.
