General Information

Hotel Nizza, located in one of Florence's most central streets is to be found in a construction which goes back to the fourteenth century. An engraved marble stone dated 1807 confirms that in the seventeen hundreds it was used as a residence for monks from the surrounding Santa Maria Novella abbey, (100 yards away). It became a hotel in 1912 and features been run as a family work since then, with the major care centred on welcoming helpfulness and cleanliness based on the characteristic Florentine and Tuscan way of life. Being one of the few authentic original proudly run Florentine family businesses left in Florence, the Lassi and Gurrieri families take prominent pride in providing the maximum of cordiality and pleasure in the nice Tuscan convention. Hotel Nizza features now been totally transformed with the most modern re-modernisation (using local materials such as "cotto", walnut forest, marble and Firenzuola stone) made during the winter of 2001. The 18 suites, all equipped in Tuscan-Florentine fashion, have been completely renewed with privy bathrooms, air conditioning, satellite TV, hair dryer, dial-phone line and safe-box. All these comforts produce it a high quality hotel in its category.
