General Information

Hotel Kursaal & Ausonia is ideally located in the center of Firenze: it is just a 10 minutes stroll from the Cathedral and from the train station and is next to all monument and galleries.
This friendly hotel was absolutely refurbished in January 2007 in order to propose a warm and majestic ambience. Our motto is: modernity in the classical convention of Tuscany.
The public zone are on the third floor and the characterised by a latest but simultaneously classical design.
The dining room, where a delicious smorgasbord is catered in the morning, is entirely suitable and peculiar. The brasserie hall along with the common suite, with its sofas, books, newspapaers, Tv and i-net access are the perfect places to stop and unwind.
The hotel provides two kinds of apartments based on the size: Standard and Superior.
Some of the Superior also have a quiet living room, some look out on the Cathedral, other on the roofs of Florence and some others have privately-owned balconies.
The ambiance is warm and comfortable with pieces of old furniture along with up-to-date details. Bathrooms follow the same logic: big, functional and cosy.
Two of the more excellent rooms have bathtubs.
How to get to the inn:
By train
From Santa Maria Novella railway station you can get Hotel Kursaal & Ausonia by cab or on foot. Leave the station from the side where platform 16 is situated and turn right on the sidewalk and then left on Via Nazionale: this hotel is situated at number 24 (black), on the right after Via Guelfa. It's approximately a 10 minutes amble from the station.
By car
From the Firenze Nord exit follow the signs for the town centre (centro). When you reach Fortezza da Basso, take Viale Spartaco Lavagnini and turn directly at the 1st traffic light on Via Santa Caterina d'Alessandria. After the plaza with trees (Piazza Indipendenza), Via Nazionale starts, this hotel is on the left at number 24 (black).
From the Firenze Sud exit follow the signs for the midst. Once you reach Piazza della Liberta take Via Lorenzo Il Magnifico: at the 1st traffic light turn left on Via Poliziano and continue till you reach Via Santa Caterina d'Alessandria. After the marketplace with trees (Piazza Indipendenza), Via Nazionale starts, this hotel is on the left at number 24 (black).
