Positioned on the slope of Fiesole dainty hill in the hamlet of Maiano; the Villa proposes splendid vistas of Florence and of Fiesole scenery. Cadastral documents of that time show that the Villa was changed into a castle by the Bardi family that bought it in 1427 and subsequently sold it to Nicola Tegliacci in 1447. The recent owner named the bungalow Palagio dei Tegliacci. Restoration on a majestic scale changed the fourteenth century aspect of the bungalow and the bungalow was renamed Salviatino. The Salviati family remained the proprietor of the bungalow throughout the XVI and XVII centuries. In 1882 the Villa became the site of Phelps Thomas who started a programme of full restoration business.
