General Information

In Umbria, greenish centre of Italy, with its hills, mountains, secular hermitages, rivers and streams that crisscross the woodland and the valleys, just 2km from Lake Trasimeno in greenish village where woodland remain intact, sits an old-time farmhouse that features been totally restructured and turned into an 8 room farmhouse with a barreception region. Its name is the Farmhouse Lanterna Rossa, and it's open all year round so that you are able to enjoy relaxing weekends any time you prefer. Your pets are welcome to appreciate the terraces and the forests too! There is a playground for kids and a picnic district, and the nearby village hosts an organic farm, a deep blue lake and swimming pool. While you stay you can also enjoy breakfast at the brasserie, which is open all day. The Farmhouse Lanterna Rossa features 8 rooms spread over 2 storeys. Some of these are communicating suites for larger famiglies or groups. All of the units have privy bathrooms, shower, hairdryer, TV, a totally furnished cooking corner and commodious sofa-bed. They have also been enhanced with tree designs in the living roomkitchen district and floral designs in the bedrooms, making for a warm and hospitable ambience. The top floor rooms have lofts that customers able to use as they please, and all units have heating and air conditioning. The vistas are wonderful from all of the units: giving onto the mountains or the tiny hamlets, like Panicale and Paciano, that dot the region. You are able to even see Assisi's Mount Subasio in the distance. The rooms able to be moved into from four pm on the day of arrival, and must be freed by ten am of the day of departure.

Transportation

By auto: From Florence (110km) or from Rome (150Km), take the A1 autostrada and exit at Valdichiana; Then take the E45 Superstrada towards Perugia, exiting at Castiglione del Lago; then follow the signs for Castiglione del Lake. After approximately 3km turn right towards Piana, pass via the city and turn left towards Pozzuolo. After approximately 700mts you'll find us on the left. By train: Take the Firenze-Roma line and receive off at Castiglione del Lago. Turn left out of the station and stroll along the highway for approximately 100mts to the 1st crossroads where you turn left. Continue on to the 2nd crossroads (100 mts), turn left and take the tunnel under the highway. At the other side of the tunnel turn right, stroll via the city of Piana and then turn left towards Pozzuolo. We are 700 mts further down on the left.
