Several steps from the Medieval countryside of Poggio alla Malva and from Artimino an amiable city with the Barco Reale Mediceo hunting region of the de’ Medici family, and the Etruscan tombs. The guesthouse features no restaurant but a dining room where wide windows overlooking all directions welcome the rising morning sun above the mountains and gives the visitors the opportunity to undergo complete vale underneath, the nearby mountains with cypresses and pine trees. Not big hotel built in Tuscan fashion.

Transportation

Florence Vespucci Airport (FLR): Approximate driving time to Villa La Malva is 20 mins and distance is 15 kilometres (9. five miles).

Getting there: An airport bus leaves each thirty minutes and transports passengers to Santa Maria Novella Station, in the very heart of Florence. A single ticket is €6. From here trains run to Signa, 4 kilometres from the inn. A cab to the guesthouse costs about €50. All prices are subject to change.

Driving directions: From the airport follow the A1. Exit Exit at Firenze Scandicci. Follow then the blue sign for the superstrada Firenze/Pisa/Livorno (FI PI LI) in the direction of Pisa/Livorno. Leave the superstrada at Lastra a Signa. At the crossroads turn right in the direction of Signa and drive direct on at the roundabout. At the 2nd traffic lights, turn right and drive over the River Arno. After 300 m, drive under the train tracks, then turn left and keep left at the combination and drive along the train tracks. After about 4 kilometres there is a sign indicating left, for Poggio alla Malva. The guesthouse is situated on the left just before reaching the countryside, avenue number 35/35A. Ring the bell on small gate, 35A.
