Spice Village Resort Thekkady

General Information

Spice Village is a group of white washed villas with thick elephant grass thatched roofs and wide verandahs all around. The villas are scattered around the Village's luxuriant spice terraces, plenty of of which are used in the resort's kitchen.

The resort features limited apartment facilities since it's spread out over eight acres. However, the snack bar meals are lavish affairs with vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. The meals are laid out in the resort's breakfast room. All around are handmade tables and benches made from rubberwood. There is another restaurant, The Tiffin Room, with its more than a hundred year ancient old rosewood furniture. Further to, there is a well-stocked brasserie.

At the very heart of the countryside is the swimming pool and there are amenities for badminton, ping-pong and a landlord of inner toys. The inn features a resident botanist to answer guest's queries approximately the wide range of trees and spices around. The guesthouse also provides trips to discover the Periyar Tiger Reserve by boat. The resort features its own boutique, an Ayurvedic Centre, a dispensary and extremely qualified conventional masseurs.
