The Hotel Matyas is situated in city centre Budapest, a stones throw from the river Danube and faces the Elizabeth bridge. It's also very close to the popular foot passenger Vaci st with its wide selection of cafes, restaurants butiques and clubs. A greatly enjoyable historical building with attractive balconies on every of its five storeys.

Guests need to stroll up half a dozen steps at the inn entry and then turn left into the medium size foyer. There is a little reception, some I-net terminals for visitor to use in addition to a lot of sofa seating. The reception desk is open days on end a day.

The Matyas restaurant is located in the basement of the guesthouse and is arguably one of the town's most famed restaurants. Popular with locals and travellers the restaurant is constantly busy. This renaissance fashion restaurant is based in the vault with nicely painted arched ceilings and pillars. Waiters able to be seen dressed in classical 15th century clothing and live gypsy music is supplied during snack time and in the evening on certain days all year round. Breakfast, snack and dinner is catered here and the Hungarian carte menu is well worth experiencing.

The hotel features 85 up-to-date rooms, some of which have an excellent vista of the Danube. These gorgeous bright standard 3* apartments are all en-suite and propose tv with satellite channels, pay TV, phone, radio and mini-bar. Air conditioning is obtainable in some apartments only.
