Archontiko Village Alykes

General Information

Built in 1846, Archontiko once traded as an olive oil factory, flower mill and winery. Archontiko was tenderly restored and converted into conventional Greek masionettes with emphasis on it is history. Later six self sufficient Villas were built on the grounds and it became Archontiko Village. Having been handed down from generation to generation and constantly staying in the Voutos family, Archontiko Village keeps its conventional values and gives a true flavour of Greece. It's really a site of peace, serenity and steeped in heritage in which, the Voutos family would like you to feel. It's a delicious vacation tranquil location for couples and families who are seeking leisure. The Maisonettes initially traded as the original Olive Oil Press and the Flour Mill of Archontiko before it was softly converted into seven commodious masionettes. Every maisonette was converted with common taste and Greek values. We have 6 Villas in the classical zakynthian classical style with all the amenities, which is needed to spend a lounging and a entertaining vacation. They are one floor houses, with wooden roofs. Our Villas have privately-owned verandas with scenic vistas of the Ionian Sea and they whirlpool of Alykes. They able to landlord 2-4 persons.

Transportation

Advantageously located, in the east of the island and in the Village of Katastari is Archontiko Village. Embedded in the hills and overlooked by the fabulous cliff of Melisa and where a vista from your balcony, will provide you with the crystal blue waters of the Ionian Sea and the gulf of Alykes, which is great for it is shallow coast and warm waters. Katastari is the largest countryside in Zakynthos and in this place you will find supermarkets, coffee boutiques, bars and conventional Greek tavernas. Archontiko is located 17kms away from Zakynthos city where is the major haven and the ferry boats from continental Greece (Kilini) comes. Just 19km from the airport and 10km from the haven of St Nicolas, Volimes, where you are able to catch a ferry to the neighbouring spot of Kafelonia. It's advantageously located to stay one of the best sightseeing of the island. From Alykes, you are able to take some of the plenty of boat trips to the distinguished Smugglers Wreck or the eminent Blue Caves. Just five minutes drive north will bring you to Xigia coast, where you can have a rest in the sulphur enriched waters and the natural spa, while getting that summer months glow feeling, which is everytime a must on vacation. A short walk will bring you to plenty of other close beaches Xhoriati, Amoudi, Amboula and Gerakaria. The options are endless.
