General Information

There is hardly a city in Germany that is more interesting and conventional than Rothenburg. In the historic part of this interesting town you find the Kloster-Stueble, your romantic home for memorable moments. According to the chronicles the cottage was constructed as early as 1534. Primarily, during almost 4 centuries it catered as a farmhouse till it was turned into an inn. The Kloster-Stueble is situated in the Heringsbronnengasse. The name is derived from the gothic fountains in which the pickled herrings brought from the beach and stored in barrels were desalted and washed. Directly beyond the Kloster-Stueble you find the Castle Garden (Burggarten), a tranquil garden with a particular vista over the city whose charter was granted in 1171 by Emperor Frederick Barbarossa. For 3 generations now the Kloster-Stueble features been owned by the same family who would like to welcome their clients with a highly personal cordiality.
