General Information

The Gerbermuhle Hotel is a member of Design Hotels.
Primarily constructed as a flour mill in the 1520s, the Gerbermuhle is, however, better known as the summer months residence of J. Wolfgang von Goethe and his beloved Marianne von Willemer.
Since the start of the 20st century it features earned a status as popular tavern and spot of excursion.
The inside design creates a warm atmosphere reminiscent of a conventional guesthouse, harmoniously combined with contemporary furniture and excessive light. The liberal and vaste park on the bank of the river Main offers cosy seating in the shade of gorgeous, ancient trees, a beautiful harbor where work men meet excursionists and families meet friends.
Within the last 2 years the landmarked building features been renewed and renewly embellished and opened in July 2007. The the whole recent hotel-wing combines 19 individual suites & suites, all furnished with parquet floor, air-condition, minibar, hair dryer, phone with voicemail, flat screen-TV, deposit box, in addition to self-sufficient Wireless-LAN-connection.
After an exhausting day one can rest in the dining place with hotel brasserie or, on a warm summer months day, why not enjoy cool drinks and local peculiarities in the easeful summer months park.
