General Information

Welcome to the Hotel-Gasthof "Zum goldenen Engel"! The heritage of our cottage dates back to the year 1658. Prince Metternich had the "Goldene Engel" constructed as a tavern of the Grafenegg palace. In 1795 the guesthouse became our property. We, the Ehrenreich family, are the 7th generation to run the "Goldene Engel". As much as we are aware of the custom, as much we are open for recent things. With plenty of attention we have rebuilt the guesthouse to match it with today's needs. It was our aim to unite the public flair of th seventeenth centuty with the current demands of our dear guests. Our cottage is only a five minutes' wander to the foot zone in the ancient town of Krems.
