Transportation

Rainbow Beach is two. five hrs from Brisbane airport, or 1. five hrs from Sunshine Coast or Fraser Coast(Hervey Bay) airports by auto. Whether you're coming from the Sunshine Coast or Brisbane drive north along the Bruce Hwy towards Gympie, turn off to the directly at the signs directing you to Fraser Island and Rainbow Beach. Once in Rainbow Beach turn right at Double Island Dr, and left at the 2nd avenue, Cooloola Dr. We are at 103 Cooloola Drive. Whether you're coming from the north or Fraser Coast airport follow the signs through Maryborough to Rainbow Beach. Bus services run daily to and from Rainbow Beach. Train services terminate at Gympie, where a connecting bus or cab is obtainable. Be aware that a lot of GPS navigators will take you on remote forestry tracks unless you arrive by means of Gympie or Maryborough. Unless you have a 4wd vehicle we advise that you do not travel along Cooloola Way.
