The heritage of Penghana, constructed as the mine supervisors residence in 1898, is represented with historic photographs, vintage furniture, mine memorabilia. Facing Queenstown and encircled by rainforest the picturesque stained glass facade entry, picturesque blackwood staircase, open fires and roomy suites are all reminders of its essential past. Transportation

From Hobart follow the Lyell Highway (Route A10) to Queenstown and on arrival in Queenstown visit on the Lyell Hwy till you go over the bridge then take the 1st left into the Esplanade, turn right at King St, turn right into Preston St. Keeping to the right follow Preston St to the Penghana driveway on the right hand side. From Burnie take the Ridgley Hwy and continue on through Ridgley. Continue on the Murchison till you pass Tullah then left into Anthony Rd, following the signs to Queenstown. Turn left in to the Zeehan Hwy and this becomes the Lyell Hwy into Queenstown. On arrival in Queenstown turn right in to Esplanade before the bridge, then right at King St, then right into Preston St. Keeping to the right follow Preston St to the Penghana driveway on the right hand side.
