General Information

Robinsons in the City is a particular municipal bed & breakfast. We provide 6 intimate (non-smoking) visitor apartments every with a detach privately-owned or adjacent bathroom. Robinsons is a warm, cheerful and personal outskirts. The premises was Melbourne's earliest commercial bakery (circa 1850) and the wide, forest fired, brick bakery ovens are a magnificent feature of the Bakehouse dining room. 4 of the suites are in the baker's original home featuring; 12 foot high ceilings, pressed tin ceiling, ornate timber staircase and fascinating furniture and accessories. Situated on the edge of the CBD, Robinsons is a short meander to the major town shopping precinct, Spencer Street Mall, South Wharf DFO complex, Southbank and Crown Entertainment Complex, Melbourne Aquarium, Skydeck 88 (Eureka Tower), Docklands (New Quay), Etihad Stadium, Melbourne's Tramcar Restaurant departure point and Festival Hall (Melbourne's original amusement venue)- to name several! Melbourne's transportation links are right on our doorstep - The Southern Cross Station and Bus Terminal (incl. Skybus and Sunbus Airport Shuttles), and the prestigious independent City Circle Tourist Tram. Avenue Kilda, Port Melbourne, Carlton, Fitzroy and complete of Melbourne's indoor suburbs are well serviced by the broad tram net - all available from Spencer and LaTrobe Street tram stop just 400m away. Breakfast is catered from: 8. 00am - ten. 00am (Monday - Sunday)- times subject to change. Whether you have an early departure designed, appropriate arrangements able to be made for an early breakfast. Please inform us prior to your coming. Housekeeping: For bookings of greater than three nights, towels will be refreshed each 2nd day. To minimise the environmental impact of washhouse chemicals, etc we ask that you hang up your towels and re-use them. Should you wish to get fresh towels please contact the Resident Manager while you are staying. Beds will be made daily unless you have left any belongings on the bed. Bathrooms will be presented a hygiene clear and rubbish removed daily.

Whether you're taking the Skybus (Tullamarine) Airport Shuttle from Melbourne InternationalDomestic Airport. You are able to use the FREE Hotel Transfer buses that leave the Melb. Bus Terminal regularly and be dropped of at the facade door. Whether you're taking the Sunbus (Avalon) Airport Shuttle from Avalon Airport. You are able to use the FREE Hotel Transfer buses that leave the Melbourne. Bus Terminal regularly and be dropped off at the facade door. Whether you're driving yourself or taking a cab from the airport, follow the City signs till the Dynon St exit. This exit takes you onto Spencer Street. After you have crossed the Dudley Street intersectiontraffic lights, take the following right into Batman Street. We are on the right hand side after you produce the turn.
